Shelly Vander Veen, CEO
Dedicating 29 years to the Claremont Police Department and retiring as Police Chief in 2021, Shelly achieved a groundbreaking rise through the ranks. She set a historic milestone as the department's first female promoted above Corporal. Living in Claremont for the past eight years, her contributions have deeply enriched the community's tapestry.

Tom Cerafice - President
Tom Cerafice is a lifelong Claremont resident and owner of 4 C’s Finecraft Jewelers. After graduating from Claremont High and gaining decades of experience with national jewelry companies, he brought his expertise home and opened 4 C’s in 1999. The store continues to thrive in Claremont Village, serving the community where Tom and his family have made their home for over 50 years.
The Cerafice family remains deeply committed to supporting local causes, especially through fundraising for organizatins close to their hearts.

Helaine Goldwater, Vice-President
A resident of Claremont for over 50 years and a business owner for four decades, Helaine has dedicated herself to enriching her community. As the first-ever Chairperson of the Claremont Police Commission, she's also volunteered with Meals on Wheels, AYSO, and Little League while serving on Claremont school committees, CERT, and the Police Department's Community Patrol.

Lorrie Buehler, CPF Secretary
Lorrie has been a proud Claremont resident for more than 45 years. After a fulfilling 31-year career with Upland Unified School District- serving as both a teacher and an administrator- she retired in 2022. Although she taught many students over the decades, 2nd grade always held a special place in her heart. In her new chapter, Lorrie works as a special assistant for a local tech business where her passion for organization, efficiency, and behind the scenes support truly shines.

Bill Buehler, CPF Treasurer
Serving 20 years as a volunteer engineer with the Mt. Baldy Fire Department while also employed by the U.S. Dept. of Treasury, Bill later became a self-employed tax consultant. As the Inland Empire Area Coordinator for "Firefighters Quest for Burn Survivors," he's been instrumental in helping the organization raise over $3M for the cause. An Air Force veteran, he's also been an officer in the U.S. Naval Sea Cadet Corp for the last seven years. A Claremont resident for 27 years, Bill's multifaceted contributions are a testament to his commitment to community and service.

Nick Martinez, Board Member
Prior to starting his career with the CPD in 2009, Nick worked in Claremont as a Real Estate Broker/Mortgage Banker. With his wife Kate, they raised their 3 sons in Claremont, 2 of which are now in Law Enforcement. Nick is active with Claremont Youth Basketball where he serves on the board and coaches. Nick is currently a Sergeant assigned to Patrol, but don’t be surprised to see him conducting traffic enforcement on a CPD motorcycle … his true passion!

Ginny Schirripa, Board Member
Ginny moved to Claremont from New Jersey in 1983. She worked at Vons for 18 years and volunteered for Meals on Wheels for 20 years, 7 of which she served as President. She is an active Community Patrol Volunteer at the PD, and is a part of PEO, an organization supporting women’s education through scholarships and grants.

Bill Villalobos, Board Member
Bill is an experienced technology and business professional with a career spanning more than 40 years across IBM, Yahoo!, Hewlett Packard Enterprise, and DXC Technology. Bill also serves as a Community Patrol Member within the Police Department
